New/Inexperienced Miner Training

240 hours of classroom and hands-on training utilizing our classrooms and 6-entry – 7-crosscut simulated mine, smoke mine and “live burn” tunnel.

To date, all of our participants in these programs have a 100% pass rate on their exams.

This class will give the new/inexperienced student the entire MSHA surface and underground training necessary for working in the mining industry. Our class that ended on September 24, 2010 has resulted in 90% of the class obtaining employment in the mining industry. The most recent class has a 100% pass ratio for those taking their West Virginia Surface and Underground test.

Our next New/Inexperienced Miner Training will begin on February 7, 2011 and will run Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm for six weeks.
